Now, more than anything— we need to

[AUGUST 07, 2012] It was a tragic day for many of us here in the Philippines: a tremendous downpour, rising floods, overflowing rivers, sudden landslides, plus an earthquake somewhere in between. Even our own home wasn’t spared. It started to flood outside of our house by 2 o’clock this afternoon, and by 4pm, the murky water had gone inside. It was like Ondoy (also Katrina) all over again…. just slower. 

Yes, we experienced bad. But others experienced (or is still experiencing) worse. In fact, we are blessed to have been protected like this– no serious damages whatsoever.

This entire day I was able to stay updated via Twitter (thank God for keeping the electricity on!) but my heart teared up with every troubled tweet that I saw on my feed from stranded victims all over the Metro. It was like watching the critical level get more critical by the minute. #stateofcalamity #heartbreaking

And you know this already: a lot of people NEED YOUR HELP.

But mostly, we need to pray. Because we know we are powerless without God. Now is the time for us to flood the gates of heaven with our prayers! Our country desperately needs prayers. Only by God’s grace will we be saved.
