I’m sure you all have heard about the very unfortunate tragedy that hit the Southern part of the Philippines. My heart goes out to all those who were immensely affected by the storm. CDO and Iligan, we’re praying for you.
“(CNN) – The death toll in the Philippines from a tropical storm that struck the south of the country over the weekend has risen above 1,000, a government official said Wednesday…. The worst of the destruction took place in the port cities Iligan and Cagayan de Oro, which do not usually experience storms as intense as (storm) Washi (locally known as Sendong).” ~ CNN News
I hope those of us who are able and more than blessed to have been spared from the wrath of Sendong could lend a hand and give some love to the victims who are still struggling in Mindanao. Let’s try to make their Christmas better than how it is now. It’s not too late to help!
PLEASE VISIT THIS SITE FOR PARTICIPATING ORGS & DROP-OFF LOCATIONS FOR DONATIONS: http://mylittleways.com/typhoons/how-you-can-help-typhoon-sendong-victims/ Your small efforts will go a looooong way!
Also, if you are free this Friday, you may also deliver your goods to Fiamma along Jupiter, Makati:
“In light of recent events, Fiamma Fresh Fridays together with Banj Billions and Bodyrock will be holding a charity event to help our brothers and sisters in the south at this very difficult time. Please tell your friends that we will be accepting donations in Fiamma on Friday night. A contribution of clothing, a canned good, bottled water, a toy, or a suggested donation of P100 gets you in the door. Proceeds of the event will benefit Gawad Kalinga’s initiatives to help the victims of Typhoon Sendong.”
Let’s keep helping. Let’s keep praying.
Keep safe everyone!!
